Mission Statement
“Encounter God’s Presence. Experience His Care. Share His Gospel. Grow as His Disciple.”
Vision Statement
At Family Worship Center, we are a Spirit-filled, Christ-centered church where our focus is
Presence
God’s presence is our priority. Through passionate worship, fervent prayer, and openness to the
work of the Holy Spirit, we seek life-changing encounters that transform hearts and homes (Acts
2:1-4).
Care
People are our calling. We are committed to loving one another deeply, supporting families,
restoring the hurting, and building authentic relationships that reflect the compassion of Christ (1
Corinthians 12:25.)
Evangelism
The gospel is our message. We boldly and faithfully share the saving, healing, and delivering
power of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond, believing that every person deserves to
hear and respond (Acts 1:8).
Discipleship
Growth is our pursuit. We intentionally equip believers through biblical teaching, spiritual
formation, and the activation of spiritual gifts so they may mature in faith and multiply disciples
(Matthew 28:18-20).
How it all started
Family Worship Center was birthed out of revival in 1945 in Mabscott, WV. The church had eleven people in attendance that first Sunday. In May 1948 the church moved to Fitzpatrick Rd. in MacArthur, WV. Our last move was in December 2003 when we moved to our current location on Pinewood Dr. in Beckley WV. We were birthed out of revival and we live to see revival in our family, region and nation.
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, FWC is committed to fostering an "Apostolic Revival Hub" built around transformation and the gospel of the kingdom. We are developing a culture of honor built on Holy-Spirit, power-based ministry; with Signs, Wonders and Miracles. We are a regional family that governs in prayer, the word, vision and authority.
What this means for you
What does this mean for you? You will be a part of a Transformation movement that is focused on Equipping, Fathering, Activating and Sending. Most importantly, you're always welcome at FWC.
